About Princeton Tires

Sale of new and used tires serving our customers with a service with quality.

Princeton Tires is a tire shop in McKinney, Texas. It is listed at 1219 S Chestnut St, McKinney, TX 75069, which places it among the local businesses of McKinney that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 7 am–7:30 pm. McKinney is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around McKinney is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I had bought 4 brand new tires online that I had on me inside the vehicle. I only needed them to install them on the car. They quoted me $140 for labor. They saw a girl by herself and thought they were going to get over on me. It should only cost $20-$25 a tire, that’s the standard. I took my business down the street and it was $90 total installation for all 4 tires. So consumer beware.

Ive been going to thus shop for 17yrs, and always had a good experience. Ive referred people here and Ive spent alot of money here during that time. Ive had noise and tire issues since Feb on my jeep cherokee. Ive replaced suspension, tire rod ends (inner and outer), ball joints, control arm, cv axle and sway bars then had a wheel alignment all at the recommendation of this shop. Ive spent $3,000+ - which is more than the car is even worth. The noise, grinding, pops, squeaks and vibration has not stopped. The car has been there 3x in a week. Today, they rode with me and of course it wouldnt make all of the noises. They told me they would replace the wheel bearings at no charge and check other things that might be the source of the noises/vibration. They had the car from 9:30 (mechanic there at 9am) to 6:30. When I picked it up Auturo told me, β€œWe didnt have time for it today. We changed the wheelbearings 20min ago but we have not looked at anything else and we have not driven it to see if its fixed. This is tying up our mechanic and we were busy.” I have paid them $1500+ in labor in the last few months plus had to uber to and from several times and be without my vehicle eve

Needed a tire repair and was pleasantly surprised by how quickly everything was handled. The staff was friendly, the service was efficient, and the pricing was reasonable. I appreciated the straightforward approach and the fact that they got me back on the road without a long wait. It's a dependable local shop with a hardworking team and a reputation for fast service. Definitely a place I'd consider returning to for future tire and maintenance needs.

Very unprofessional I arrived here at 3:50 the places says that close at 4:30 and the workers still there and they didn’t want to service me, I explained to them that I drove there for 20 minutes and they got very hostile and asked me to leave right away without apologizing or anything, I would save my money and go somewhere else respectful.

Always support the family owned and operated shops as the big shops like Discount Tire tries to swindle you to buy more products or services. I had a plug in a tire and Discount wanted me to buy another $700 while my plugged one was still good to be driven on. I took my vehicle here and the guys had me in and out within 30 minutes! I’ll be back with my Porsche to have them put on my wheels
